Community Placement

Amy Moss
Lead Clinician and Training Coordinator, Geriatric Transitions Program

Amy really understands the importance of person centered work and fighting for what is most meaningful to clients, understanding it is those things that affect happiness and behavior. In a recent example, a client needed to move into a memory care unit which meant letting go of her pets. Amy worked tirelessly to find homes for the animals as she knew how important that was to her client.

Mary Lyn Hunt
Community Living Facilitator, Supported Living

Lyn treats all staff and participants with dignity and respect. Lyn works tirelessly to ensure no detail has been forgotten. She continuously steps up and helps out others, even when it is not her own site and she does this without any complaint.  Lyn can always brighten up my day, her cheerful personality and infectious smile keeps everyone in a positive mood.

Tijan Fatty
Community Support Specialist, Supported Living

Tijan has worked for Sunrise for 4 years and in that time he has shown an “Outstanding” ability to be an active team member and takes pride in his work. He has an exemplary attendance record and is always willing/looking to cover extra shifts. Tijan encourages the clients to learn and grow; he has a special rapport with them all. It is such a pleasure to watch him interact with them; it is definitely a mutual respect.  Tijan always comes to work with a smile on his face and he makes everyone’s day special.

Christine Corcoran
Client/Staff Matching Specialist Lead, Supported Living

Cris has proven to be a great leader – training staff, guiding and directing her team. She is a great problem-solver, dependable and models great teamwork to the Staffing team while fostering that team spirit throughout the whole SL team. Her sense of humor bolsters the spirits of those around her creating a fun, upbeat environment in which to work.

Home Care

Geneva Carroll
Supervisor Assistant, HC Everett

Our agency’s ability to provide community service depends on having available employees and Geneva was instrumental in bringing many new excellent team members to our department. She doesn’t just wait for people to come and apply, she goes after them, attending WorkSource events and marketing wherever she can. When I sit in the office and hear another person coming in and asking for Geneva, I know that she is doing her job well. Supervisors are very happy with her efforts, follow up and attitude.

Home Care

Wendy Defreeuw
Home Care Aide, HC North

When she started her job, she was quite nervous, it was written all over her, but Wendy takes her job very seriously and wants to do it right. Watching her develop her skills has been like watching a garden grow. She follows Sunrise policy and procedure in a kind and positive way. She is so caring and respectful and does a wonderful job with her clients. She plans to be a nurse one day and it is an honor to be a part of helping her help others.

Mental Health

Ivko Pejovic
Mental Health Professional

His clients know Ivko for his compassion, positivity, reliability, and dedication.  He is truly motivated by client service and is always willing to share his philosophy and skills with his colleagues. He has the ability to actively listen and understand other’s experiences despite how different they might be from his own.  He validates you as a human being and makes you feel less judged.  He is strength focused and helps you to connect with your inner self and challenges your thinking. You walk away from a conversation with him feeling encouraged, uplifted, and enlightened. He is truly here for “all the right reasons”.

Community Trades and Careers

Godofredo Aguilar
Employment Specialist, King County

Godo, with confidence, effectively shares with clients the skills required for locating and securing long-term employment. The majority of participants Godo serves are in paid employment; the others are on their way to reaching their employment goals. It is impressive to see that Godo exercises what he shares. Godo is always on time, has superb follow through, strongly advocates for participants, and treats ALL with dignity and respect. Godo is a role model for all he meets.

Susan Havens
Accounting Specialist Lead, Accounting

Sue came to Sunrise two years ago with many years of experience doing payroll for one of our fellow North Sound providers. She brought a wealth of knowledge that has greatly helped our payroll team to make improvements in processes and to serve our employees better. She works well with other teams and leads the payroll team to ongoing success in the completion of this most important task! In addition, she does it all with respect – adding a little humor along the way!
